5 Amazing Books To Enahnce Your Mindset in 2018

Once Your Mindset Changes, Everything On The Outside Will Change Along With It

-Steve Maraboli

Gentrifanatics! I don’t have to tell you that mindset is everything!

Once your eyes are opened to new possibilities the world just looks different.

I’m sure you’ve had that experience where you learned a new way to do something. As soon as you understand that you’re capable of so much more you look back at the old way of doing things and wonder why you ever did it that way!

Good books have always caused a mindshift for me. Let’s just take Robert Kiyosaki’s Rich Dad, Poor Dad. Before reading this book I was convinced that I was doomed to work a job until I turn 65 and then live off of whatever I managed to save over the years.

After reading the book my whole mindset changed! I started looking at the world differently. I started noticing things that I could do to better myself. Then, after starting to better myself I started noticing ways I could help others do the same!

Trust me when I say that success is a mindset!

Reading one book won’t make you rich tomorrow. However, it can put you on a path to immediately start thinking in ways that will make you much more successful!

In this post you’ll hear about 5 amazing books that are guaranteed to open your eyes to possibilities and strategies that you may have never considered. These strategiesmay not resonate with you. However, these strategies could spark the mindset that makes you successful beyond your wildest dreams.

You’ll never know unless you dive in!

5. Never Eat Alone by Keith Ferrazzi and Tahl Raz

Never Eat Alone speaks to the fact that no (wo)man is an island. If you think you can become successful unilaterally you’re wrong!Wealth, Health and Wellness, Gentrifanatic

This book is amazing for opening your eyes to the power of networking, providing value to others, and selling yourself.

Business is all about people. To be successful in any business you must be about people.

One of the best quotes from this book is:

The only way to get people to do anything is to recognize their importance and thereby make them feel important. Every person’s deepest lifelong desire is to be significant and to be recognized.

4. The One Thing by Gary Keller and Jay Papasan

This book speaks to focusing your efforts in order to achieve your ultimate goals.

It’s great for your mindset because it gives you a formula to make astronomical goals attainable.

For example, if your goal is to make a million dollars in 10 years what is the one thing you can you do in the next 5 years to achieve that 10 year goal?Wealth, Health and Wellness, Gentrifanatic

What is the one thing you can do in the next year to achieve that 5 year goal?

What is the one thing you can do this month to achieve that year goal?

What is the one thing you can do this week to achieve the month goal?

What is the one thing you can do right now to achieve that week goal?

Breaking it down like that will let you know what actionable step you can take right now to achieve that million dollars in 10 years goal!

One of the best ideas in this book is that:

Multitasking is a lie!

3. How to Win Friends and Influence People by Dale Carnegie

This book is great for shifting the way you interact with people!

Many of the quirks about people that make you upset in your job or in everyday life are addressed in this book.

Even though it was first published in 1937 its still very relevant today.Wealth, Health and Wellness, Gentrifanatic

Perhaps the best take away is that people (including you) are more interested in things that impact themselves than anything else. If you remember this in your interactions you’ll be successful!

One of the best quotes in this book is:

You can make more friends in two months by becoming interested in other people than you can in two years by trying to get other people interested in you.

2. Cash Flow Quadrant by Robert Kiyosaki

Kiyosaki is the master mindset changer!

His books have probably created more successful entrepreneurs than any book out there (just a guess)!

In Cash Flow Quadrant Kiyosaki gets into the inner workings of four types of income producing strategies in the world.Wealth, Health and Wellness, Gentrifanatic

  1. Employees – work for someone else for money
  2. Self Employed – work for yourself for money
  3. Business owners – create a business where others work to make you money
  4. Investor – make your money work to make you more money

This book is great for shifting your mindset on wealth generation.

Wealth is defined as how long you can sustain yourself and your family without having to work.

Great quote:

Many people will not head down the street until all the lights are green. That is why they don’t go anywhere.

1. Rich Dad, Poor Dad by Robert Kiyosaki

It’s no accident that Robert Kiyosaki takes up the top two spots!

Rich Dad, Poor Dad constantly comes up as one of the best business/success/mindset books of all time!

Just recently Richard Sherman from the Seattle Seahawks said credited the book with changing his mindset!

There is so much amazing information in this book and every page teaches something new. When you read this you won’t want to put it down!Wealth, Health and Wellness, Gentrifanatic

It will change your mindset on going to college, getting a job, working for a living, and so many other things!

Having two dads is the premise of the book. One is educated with a good government job and an expensive house…but poor. Dad number two never finished high school, owns his own business, and is rich.

A best quotes is:

Workers work hard enough to not be fired, and owners pay just enough so that workers won’t quit.
